Financial Literacy for SNAP Participants in Eastern NC

< return to list
Starts: 04-24-2019

Note:  All necessary volunteers are scheduled

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CPA to give back to the Eastern North Carolina community. The Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at UNC Chapel Hill would like to host a financial literacy session for adult SNAP participants in Hoke and Richmond counties with our help.

NCACPA volunteers have created a PowerPoint presentation specifically for this opportunity, so the willing volunteer would just need to coordinate a day and time with our UNC contact to give the presentation, and use the PowerPoint deck to guide the session. This session can likely be done in 1-2 hours, and ideally will take place in the evening (in the next month or so) depending on the CPA's availability.

If you are interested in this opportunity for either Richmond or Hoke county (or both!), please email Moira Gill at
